Tailor Shop Specialist - Shopboy

Overview

A shop specialist will work with the master tailors to execute day to day operations and ensure a memorable customer experience that will contribute to the financial growth of the company. He or she will be responsible for supporting the goals of the company and the individual store. A shop specialist is expected to deliver on the company’s customer service expectations and operational procedures. They will assist the master tailor with fittings while providing customers with expert advice on fit and wardrobe consultation.

Responsibilities

Customer Experience

  • Protect the customer experience in all areas
  • Help achieve clienteling in order to drive sales and maintain customer focus
  • Work with the tailor in servicing clients to provide exceptional service during fittings
  • Provide a friendly and welcoming environment
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with established dress code and image guidelines
  • Assist in conflict resolution with client issues
  • Communicate customer feedback to managers

Operational Standards

  • Responsible for all opening/closing procedures of the store on all designated shifts as per the store hours of operation
  • Fill out alterations slips during fittings, taking down all necessary measurements to ensure an accurate fit upon completion
  • Record all garments from customers and retail partners in spreadsheets and update all spreadsheets throughout shifts
  • Provide customers with a completion date based on workflow
  • Provide tailors with jobs and explanation of each job throughout shift according to necessary date of completion, time and work flow
  • Notify clients about finished garments
  • Work with retail accounts to schedule pick ups and deliveries
  • Execute client purchases

Physical Demands:

  • Hours/days of work can be varied due to the demands of the business

Skills and Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in luxury retail or tailored clothing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong English communication - verbal and written / Multilingual is a plus
  • Ability to recognize and react to changing work demands
  • Knowledge of fabrics and garment construction
  • Dedicated to high levels of customer service and hospitality

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $18.00 to $22.00 /hour
